Autobiography

“Life is a gift from God,it offers us priveledge, unlimited series of opportunities to find the good in ourselves and responsibility to give something back by becoming more.”It was 17th Thursday and 117th day of the year 1989 when a cute baby was born and they called her”Ana”,well not the character of Frozen but it’s me “Ana Marie Natividad”. The origin of my name is from Hebrew meaning “favored grace”. Truly that I am favored because God blessed me a family because we believed that Families are like branches on a tree. We grow in different directions yet our roots remain as one.My father’s name is Feliciano, he works as a farmer and my mother’s name is Erlinda. God blessed our parents with four offspring. My eldest sister is Ofelia (34), the second one is “ME”, the third one is Lisa and the youngest one is Loraine. Our family is living a peaceful life in Brgy. Dangan Reina Mercedes Isabela.I started my primary days at Dangan Elementary School. I was too lazy to go to school when I was a first grader which led me to repeat. I’ve been scolded and got whacked by my father because of my tardiness. My mother told me that the beautiful thing about learning is that nobody can take it away from you. Such young age, I am determined to finish my studies and I am glad and forever grateful to my parents because I will not be able to graduate with flying colors without their guidance and support.

High School life is indeed a challenging and gratifying moment of my life. I spent my Secondary days at Reina Mercedes Vocational and Industrial Annex where I got the chance to meet new people, who became my friends eventually. The school is 1km away from our house, because of poverty, I walked back and forth everyday because our parents couldn’t afford to pay for our transportation.I love playing Volleyball, because of my passion I became one of the Varsity in our school where I got the chance to join Provincial meet. I graduated despite of the hardship that I went through. The joy that I felt after my graduation turned to dismay because I looked forward to continue my studies but my parents couldn’t afford. My eldest sister Ofelia is already 3rd year college at that time so I gave way and decided to help my parent. I was 18 when I started to worked as sales lady at my Aunt’s Store. After working as sales lady for a year, I went to Manila to find a better job and better opportunities because of financial problems. Finding a job is not easy at all, because the demand in Manila is high. I finally found a job after trying for a few times. I land a contractual job as a production worker. I encountered a lot of people with different personality because we came from different provinces. After my contract I tried to find a job again. I found one but it lasts for 15 days because of shifting schedules. I was assigned in a grave yard shift. I tried to adjust but my body couldn’t handle it. The job hunting began again after I resigned. I tried my luck in one of the Agency in Caloocan Metro Manila. By God’s grace, I was hired after a week of applying. My journey in this company called the Innotex Manufacturing Corporation lasted for 6 years. I am so blessed and grateful that I became part of this company. I love my job and the company because I was able to help my parents financially. Working with this Company taught me a lot of things and experience that I can refer to for my next job. I treasured this company a lot but aiming for a better future made me decide to resigned.

In November 2014, I started securing my documents for Passporting. My first attempt in applying abroad is easy as ABC, that’s what I thought because I was hired immediately after the interview. I was overjoyed but Lextar Electronics in Taiwan informed me that I was just a backed-up. What a bummer! I felt under the weather after hearing that news. I didn’t want to continue my application anymore but I thanked those people around me who didn’t gave up on cheering me up. I also thought of going back to work at Innotex Manufacturing Corporation if the status of my application won’t change. After a few days, the agency pings me and I was told that I am hired for real. I am excited. I flew to Taiwan on April 2015 with all the hopes and plans for the future. But it’s inevitable to feel uneasy because I am miles away from home. I am emotionally stressed at that time because my boyfriend and I are not in good terms. I reminded myself that I need to be strong for the sake of my family. I became stronger and independent because I have no one but myself. With the helped of my friends and the company, I finished my 3 years contract healthy and alive. I thanked God for everything

.

In April 2018, I went back home for good. I’ve spent time with my family because I missed them so much. My family and relatives then encouraged me to continue my studies. I was hesitant at first because I was not able to attend school for a decade now. But that didn’t stop me from going to the university and tried my luck to enroll. My application for freshman in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology was accepted. It’s a big adjustment for me because of my age and coping with subjects is my main concern. In astonishment, I wasn’t left behind. And I am happy because I easily get along with my classmates. Learning at school is challenging until Corona Virus came and ruined everything. Pandemic is not a joke because our face-to-face classes changes to New Normal which is the Online Class. Online Class is stressful compare to face to face. You have to deal with your tardiness alone in doing all the requirements in order to passed. I am more determined to pass because I am not getting any younger and I am now in my final year. Sleepless night will pay off soon. I am getting closer in achieving my goal
